WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Accounting Intern will assist the finance group in the implementation of finance software and other financial related processes
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Work with finance team on accounting-related projects.
- Coordinate planning activities with other CapMetro departments and external stakeholders.
- Use finance software and assist with the training of staff personnel in the use of software.
- Assist with financial reporting and auditing.
- Support Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by following safety and security policies, considering safety in every action and reporting safety and security concerns.?
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university with a major in Accounting.
- Experience in financial accounts, reconciliations, preparing and reporting financial data, and maintaining complex databases.
- Experience in the use of financial systems.
