Growing up in large metropolitan Latin American cities, Sara did not discover her passion for the outdoors until later in life. It was only until finishing her Master’s fieldwork in Cuba did she fall head over heels in love working in sustainable agriculture and environmental health. When she returned to Texas, she immediately began working with Texas farmers and community members to re-engage people with their local food system and environment. Now, she is excited to work with Keep Austin Beautiful so all residents have the opportunity to enjoy and enhance our public spaces.
