Georgia Seminet is an Associate Professor of Spanish at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. Her areas of interest are modern Latin American narratives, globalization, childhood and children's literature in Latin America and Latin American cinema. She coedited the volume Representing History, Class, and Gender in Spain and Latin America: Children and Adolescents in Film (Palgrave 2012) and Screening Minors in Latin American Cinema (Lexington 2014). She has also previously published in academic journals. Professor Seminet enjoys being able to teach a variety of courses in Spanish at St. Edward's University as well as sponsoring study abroad programs. She has taught a variety of courses in Spanish at all levels. Dr. Seminet enjoys travel, hiking, cooking and reading.
