About Us

Junior Achievement of Central Texas (a member of JA Worldwide) is a non-profit organization that implements equity in education through inspiring and preparing young people for success in grades K-12.

We partner with schools and educators to provide mentors from the community to teach fun, engaging, and proven learning experiences in Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, and Career Readiness. JA shows students how money works, how education leads to career opportunities, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to their own business endeavors and in the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities.

We become full partners with our educators and schools to not only provide young people with classroom experiences but to provide opportunities for the students to see beyond their neighborhoods and to see the greater world and opportunities around them. Along with our business and educational partners we host impactful Job Shadows, Pitch Competitions, and financial literacy and innovation field trips to surrounding higher education institutions. We fiercely believe that when students receive equitable educational tools, learn from supportive mentors, and participate in inspirational JA experiences out of the classroom then all young people have a chance at opportunity.
