Job Description

The Vice President for Marketing and Communication is an executive level position that reports to the President / Chief Executive Officer. Responsible for leading Capital Metro’s marketing efforts, including media relations, corporate reputation management, corporate and major employer outreach, employee communications, communications and community development, community relations, and crisis management communications. Marketing and Communications departments will report to this position. This position will develop, shape and disseminate the agency’s messages to a variety of audiences using different approaches. Partner with other senior management team members to coordinate communications to a wide range of stakeholders. Stakeholders include but are not limited to customers, employees, media, business community groups, elected officials, and the general public. The ideal candidate will possess the high-energy level and dedication necessary to make a difference and to lead strategic efforts to increase the value to the community we serve.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Liberal Arts, Public Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for degree.

· Masters or advanced degree preferred.

· Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, public relations and communication.

· Five (5) years in an executive level position directing marketing, communications, and public relations.

Salary Range: $127,826 to $166,174/YR
