DRIVER’S LICENSE:
Driving on City business: This position must travel between various locations as part of the regular job duties and individual may be required to drive own personal vehicle or City vehicle. Driving a City vehicle on the AOA (Aircraft Operation Area) may be required. Successful candidate must have all credentials required in order to perform the essential functions of the job. A driving record verification will be conducted. Applicants for positions for which City driving is an essential function must meet the standards of the program: age 18 or older, current applicable driver’s license, proof of insurability, and no more than six (6) points assessed on Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) based on Department of Public Safety (DPS) Driver Record Report. Pay Range

$36.53 – $48.34

  • Core hours: Monday – Friday 8 am-5 pm
  • Shift may change according to departmental needs. Work hours may include after hours, holidays, and weekend work.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.


  1. Develops, monitors, analyzes, reports, and revises the schedule by obtaining input from knowledge and/or technical sources. Manages and initiates review and/or design of engineering/architectural projects.

  2. Manages the selection process and administers consultant services, including negotiating contract terms and fees by negotiating the contract, approving the consultant’s product, approving payment to consultant, initiating poor performance remedies, etc.

  3. Manages, monitors, and reviews contracts and contractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including administering change orders and estimates.

  4. Develops short-/long-range plans for future to ongoing projects, including estimating timelines for start up and completion of projects.

  5. Develops, maintains, and improves design and construction project management policies and procedures.

  6. Provides technical advice and assistance to City management, field personnel, contractors, etc.

  7. Develops and evaluates plans, criteria, etc. for a variety of projects, programs, and plans.

  8. Meets with project engineers/architects and contractors to discuss designs, design changes, and provide resolutions.

  9. Coordinates the analysis of site selection by hiring various consultants to develop reports and reviews recommendations with consultants and sponsoring departments.
