Program Manager, Rail Transportation
Provide Operations & Maintenance (O & M) planning support for the Capital Metro Railroad system. Participates in the establishment of operational policies and procedures consistent with Capital Metro internal policies and oversees and directs activities of personnel and contractors engaged in rail activities. Responsible for oversight and quality assurance of the passenger and freight O&M contractors in the performance of day to day operations ensuring compliance with training and safety elements of rail operations. This position performs business process reviews, schedule control, cost control, and analyzes and evaluates existing and proposed passenger and freight operations. Manage the rail transportation activities’ revenue, providing the highest quality of service possible to Capital Metro’s customers.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required in Transportation, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis up to four (4) years.
• Seven (7) years progressively responsible management experience in the transit industry including two (2) or more years in railroad and or rail transit management.
• Including three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in railroad or transit operations.
Salary Range: $81,257 TO $105,635/YR
