About Living Healthier:
The It’s Time Texas Living Healthier program is our free health coaching hotline. The Living Healthier coaches provide encouragement, accountability, and resources to help break down an overwhelming health goal (like eating healthier, keeping diabetes under control, or losing weight) into manageable steps. Health coaches hold multiple follow up phone calls with clients to help them build personal health plans, and connect them with free or low-cost healthy resources in their area. This innovative and evidence-informed health coaching program is free to all Texan adults and is available in English and Spanish. For more information, visit:
Who We Need:
The Program Manager will support the Living Healthier program. We are looking for someone who will work collaboratively on the Living Healthier team to support the growth of the program by helping to assure its implementation throughout the state. We are looking for someone who is great at solving problems, maintaining and growing relationships with partners, and getting things done. This person is comfortable working both behind the scenes and out in front, is a people person that can work with others to complete projects, understands the value of program evaluation, and has the ability to contribute to a culture of teamwork while being performance-oriented and pushing us to maximize our reach and impact. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong experience in public or community health programming who enjoys the ins and outs of program development, implementation, and evaluation.

  • Results driven. You have a strong bottom-line orientation. You are great at setting performance goals and evaluating yourself, your team, and your partners to ensure that each person is making progress on goals.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree is a plus
  • 3+ years of related public health work experience
  • Strong cultural competence and deep understanding of the social, cultural, and linguistic needs of our target audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding prioritization and project management skills
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
