DRIVER’S LICENSE
This position must travel between various locations, including the AOA, as part of the regular job duties and individual may be required to drive own personal vehicle or City vehicle. Successful candidate must be in possession of a Texas driver’s license as authorized by the Texas Transportation Code. A driving record verification will be conducted. Applicants for positions for which City driving is an essential function must meet the standards of the program: age 18 or older, current applicable driver’s license, proof of insurability, and no more than six (6) points assessed on Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) based on Department of Public Safety (DPS) Driver Record Report. ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Hearing ability to hear both near and far. Equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., e.g. lift and / or carry PCs, monitors, and other computer related equipment. Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Climb up and down stairs and ladders. Reach with arms and/or via tipping on toes to install, remove or repair equipment. Bend, turn, twist, and exhibit a crane neck during frequent use of telephone.

Pay Range

$34.40 – $44.60

Core Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with end-point security, vulnerability management and computer system penetration testing.

Experience with incident response, threat monitoring, network traffic analysis to prevent new and emerging threat.

Experience with managing regulatory standards and digital investigation.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Security.

GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner) is a plus.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

1. Develops, documents, and enforces security policies, standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures to support the enterprise security posture.
2. Updates, maintains and documents security controls
3. Hardens operating system and devices and builds access systems
4. Assists in the development of data systems, network security architecture security risk analysis scenarios, and response procedures
5. Administers security tools, security event monitoring, alerting, and reporting
6. Implements Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans
7. Enforces security policies and procedures
8. Prepares status reports on security matters
9. Reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions
10. Performs information and physical security investigations
11. Secures network connections, design, and physical access 
12. Represents the security needs of the organization

• Knowledge in networking, databases and systems operations and how they interact with each other.
• Knowledge of enterprise information security systems and implementation
• Knowledge of securing different types of systems like web, database and remote access systems
• Knowledge of Industry standard Security policies and procedures
• Skills in Security assessments and recommendations
• Skill in oral and written communication of security planning, measures, and violations to end users, public and council
• Skill in analyzing and investigation of information security trends
• Ability to educate various personnel regarding information security
