Primary job duties:
• This position will primarily focus on providing consulting services for Airport programs, business processes, and systems. Consults with the department executives and managers on organizational development and performance improvement projects and initiatives. Manages projects, analyzes data, sets performance measures and makes recommendations for improvements to the teams. Communicates project(s) information to all levels of the organization. Provides leadership and facilitates communication between airport stakeholders. The purpose of this position is to provide consultation and collaboration with Department of Aviation management at all levels on workforce planning, organizational structuring/restructuring, employee development, and accountability.

This position must travel between various locations as part of the regular job duties and individual may be required to drive own personal vehicle or city vehicle. Successful candidate must be in possession of a Texas driver’s license as authorized by Texas Transportation Code. A driving record verification will be conducted. Applicants for positions for which city driving is an which City driving is an essential function must meet the standards of the program: age 18 or older, current applicable driver’s license, proof of insurability, and no more than six (6) points assessed on Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) based on Department of Public Safety (DPS) Driver Record Report. Must be able to perform the following physical requirements with or without accommodation: Sit for long periods of time to perform computer and audit tasks. Use arms, hands, fingers and eyes when performing computer and audit related tasks. Use hands and fingers to answer telephone and to grasp various items. Walk a minimum of one-half mile daily on hard and / or uneven indoor & outdoor surfaces. Occasional standing – up to maximum of 2 hrs. at a time. Lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. Use mental capacity for reading, analyzing data and preparing audit reports, work papers and correspondence. Must possess the physical and mental capacity for decision-making and comprehension. Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Leads multiple process improvement teams 
  2. Develops project work plans, project management and periodic assessment 
  3. Facilitates the development of stakeholder analysis and communication plans for process improvement teams 
  4. Identifies, collects, and researches to complete data analysis 
  5. Makes recommendations to project teams and recommends organizational change utilizing appropriate talent 
  6. Advises process leaders and team leaders in defining/identifying key measurers and setting performance targets 
  7. Develops and improves models and methodologies for the department 
  8. Reviews and critiques the work of functional team staff 
  9. Communicates project and program information to all levels of the organization
