Notes to Applicants

Create short term and long range Master Plans and Studies for the Airport. Coordinate with internal divisions of the Airport to document and create long term facilities goals, needs and future expansion options. Coordinate with the Capital Planning Office, Transportation Office and Real Estate Offices on land planning. Coordinate with external agencies like the FAA, TSA, TXDOT, Capital Metro to integrate and review concepts, designs and plans. Help to prepare grant documentation and applications. Conduct field verifications of existing facilities. Work with Capital Planning Program Manager to plan and budget new projects. Work with consultants to perform studies and analyses of the Airport. Integrate GIS into the Airports planning and maintenance system.

DRIVER’S LICENSE
Driving on City business: This position must travel between various locations as part of the regular job duties and individual may be required to drive own personal vehicle or City vehicle. Driving a City vehicle on the AOA (Aircraft Operation Area) may be required. Successful candidate must have all credentials required in order to perform the essential functions of the job. A driving record verification will be conducted. Applicants for positions for which City driving is an essential function must meet the standards of the program: age 18 or older, current applicable driver’s license, proof of insurability, and no more than six (6) points assessed on Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) based on Department of Public Safety (DPS) Driver Record Report. This position falls under the COA safe driver program requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Utilize eyes for long periods of time while operating computer keyboard, computers, copy machines, and other office equipment
Moderate dexterity of hands and fingers to operate and/or manipulate computer keyboard, computers, and other office equipment, and safety equipment
Walk, climb stairs and ladders, kneel, and bend from waist to perform physical work
Use vision to see both near and far to identify objectives and/or activities
Use ears to hear both near and far
Verbally and effectively communicate utilizing face-to-face contact, telephones, and radios
React quickly, physically and mentally, in response to events and/or emergencies
Utilize mental capacity for decision-making and comprehension
Must possess the physical and mental capacity to safely operate motor vehicle during daytime and / or night time.
Able to put on personal protective equipment; e.g., hardhat, goggles, safety steel-toed shoes, long sleeve shirts and pants
Seldomly lift up to 50 lbs
Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
Utilize sense of smell to identify odors
Stay outdoors for long periods (day or night) under severe conditions including, but not limited to, high levels of noise from jet aircraft, glare, and extreme cold, heat, wind, or dust
Pay Range

$32.84 – $42.63
